R2H3 Trail #111 Trail Trash
It was recently brought to my attention that I had failed miserably as the Scribe for the R2H3 having not completed a Trail Trash for Trail #111. Well, fear not, minions! Here it is!As was a normal thing to do on the second Saturday of each month in the Appalachian foothills, a crew of miscreants from far at wide (meaning Tennessee and Georgia and one Kiwi) joined together for an adventure within the warm borders of the fine state of Georgia. With hares Aw Burnt Out and No Child Left in My Behind on out at exactly 3:03 PM in the hot Georgia sun, the pack further warmed themselves through the mandatory story of Joe and his miserable life. Eventually, with this all important task completed, the pack gave chase from the East Rome Wally-World, across the parking lot and immediately into the shiggy. The pack managed to keep from disturbing the ongoing funeral and found their way into a wash and then to a dirt road. This carried the hounds back into a creek where they joined the other bridge trolls for a tasty beverage at the beer stop.Once back under way, the hares led the pack along (and in) a creek to a tunnel where the pack climbed a rather steep hill across 411 from the local Tractor Supply. Unbeknownst to the pack, the hares may have been laying trail on the ledge below! Trail went back into the woods and into what the locals occasionally call the dust bowl. Then back into the shiggy, passed a couple of guys barbequing behind the Holiday Inn Express and then up a shale ledge that claimed Cum On Down as a victim by slicing his finger open. The pack ran through a great tunnel under 411, through some woods to an abandoned house where, had there been tenants, they would have heard 30 Rage Hole's cacophony of expletives. Hugh Heifer came to the rescue and pointed out the loan flour mark on a fallen tree and they were off again. Next, the entire pack macked for a trail camera in a well groomed field before crossing Chulio Road and making the final climb to Beer Near and On-In at the cellular tower behind the La Quinta. My best memory is that 30 Rage was the FRB and El Cum Weiner was the FBI. DFL went to one of our visitors who spent extra time on trail attempting to locate the other half of the strap-on belt she had located. This trophy definitely needs to be attached to the beermunity belt....wherever that thing is. Jack Ass from Atlanta learned that if you ask what the Long Arm is you get to have one. And so on and so forth. Trail was truly lovely as we never were chased by a homeowner or a farmer, everybody came in with smiles on their face and we had a great showing of hashers; both local and not so local. Then what? Well, a quick beverage at our favorite hangout: Riverdog Outpost. Many thanks to all the work that Aw Burnt Out and No Child did to scout out and lay a fine piece of tail.....trail. Come on out for R2H3 Trail #112, a shigariffic adventure laid by yours truly and my younger and more virile partner Bella Cumonme on October 9! I have heard it has an elevation gain of nearly 100 feet!
